Villa del Balbianello family ticket

One ticket for two adults and two or more of their children aged 6 to 18: the guided rooms and the gardens together.

The family fare puts two adults and two or more of their children aged 6 to 18 on one ticket for the guided tour of Villa del Balbianello and its gardens. Tell us at checkout how many children are coming, so the group is registered correctly with the villa. Children under 6 go free and are added at no charge.

What the family ticket covers

The guided tour of the house for the whole family, about 50 minutes in Italian or English, including the Museum of Expeditions with its Inuit ivories and North Pole sledge, then the terraces, the loggia and the garden at your own pace.

On the day

Walk out from Lenno (about 25 minutes uphill) or arrive by taxi boat, and reach the ticket office ten to fifteen minutes before your entry time. Show your e-ticket there; staff validate it and tell you when your guided group goes into the house, which can be up to 60 minutes later.

Pushchairs and bulky backpacks stay outside, where staff show you. After the tour, the garden, the terraces and the Loggia Durini are yours until closing time.

Who this ticket is not for

The family fare needs two adults and at least two children aged 6 to 18. One adult with children, or two adults with one child, should book individual fares instead: the adult fare for the grown-ups and the fare for ages 6 to 18 for each child.

Frequently asked

How many children can the family ticket include?
The villa's family fare is for two adults and two or more of their children aged 6 to 18. Tell us the exact number at checkout and we register them all.
Is the walk from Lenno manageable with children?
Most families manage the 1 km uphill path in about 25 minutes. Pushchairs cannot go inside the villa, so a baby carrier helps; the villa lends them free of charge.
